Teeth should be rotated or changed when they start to dull, which decreases their performance. With the red and green Greenteeth®, this will usually occur when they round off about 1/16” on the edge. With the Wearsharp®, you will want to rotate them before the diameter starts to decrease or when performance is inadequate.

Over-torqueing a bolt will stretch the threads, causing the bolt to loosen by compromising the integrity of the bolt and it’s holding ability.

Under-torqueing a bolt will lead to insufficient clamping force causing the bolt to loosen.

Not only can a loose bolt break, but it can also cause premature wear to the mounting holes on the wheel. This wear creates excessive clearance that can result in other bolts loosening over time. The more clearance, the greater the wear on the mounting hole and the odds of the bolt breaking. Excessive clearance can also increase the possibility of the tooth being mounted at the wrong angle or depth resulting in the tooth removing more or less material than it was designed. This change in the amount of material removed can cause vibration and poor performance.

Through extensive research & development, we found a way to improve upon the original design of the Greenteeth® by altering the concave of the tooth. The patented design of the Wearsharp® allows the tooth to retain a sharp cutting surface, unlike traditional teeth that tend to round over. Made with the same high quality carbide as the original Greenteeth®, the Wearsharp® teeth provide a more consistent cut throughout the life of the tooth. While we still continue to carry the original red & green versions of the Greenteeth®, we recommend the Wearsharp® for all applications involving the 700, 900 & 1100 series. The Wearsharp® are same price as the Greenteeth®.

GREEN-SEIZE™ is a premium anti-seize compound composed of fine copper and graphite powders in high-heat organic carrier. It is used to prevent mechanical seizing and to allow a lower torque value to achieve a greater clamping force.

Our original Greenteeth® are available in two versions – red & green. The redtooth, as compared to the green, has a deeper concave making the edge less blunt therefore better for sandy conditions. The green tooth has a more shallow concave, making the edge more blunt and better for adverse conditions.

It shouldn’t be necessary to drill holes in your cutter wheel. The pockets are designed to fit most standard wheels.

The Reverse-S® uses the 900-WS2, a 2-sided Wearsharp® tooth specifically designed for wheels with a diameter 23″ and greater.

Each Reverse-S® wheel is designed for the specific machine that it’s installed on. The diameter of the wheel will be roughly the same as the stock wheel, so the below-ground cutting ability will also be roughly the same.

Yes. The Quadwheel® is designed to provide a long, smooth cut utilizing the full front & bottom of the wheel. Here is the procedure for cutting: 1. Prepare the machine: - Drive the machine into position with the cutting wheel shaft above the front edge of the stump. - Engage the cutter wheel and move the engine throttle to fast. - While moving the boom left & right, adjust the left/right travel to as slow as possible. 2. Fine tune the travel speed - Lower the wheel into the stump. - With the travel speed set to its lowest setting, swing the cutting wheel across the stump, removing as much material as your machine will comfortably cut. - Slightly increase the travel speed until the wheel is comfortably removing as much material as possible in a single pass. - Repeat if necessary NOTE: A depth of cut greater than 1-1/2″ greatly increases the possibility of holder wear.

When cutting with the Quadwheel®, you are using about half of the tooth’s surface. Having 2 positions instead of three uses the tooth more efficiently.

On a standard wheel’s setup, the lead teeth often wear faster because they do the majority of the work. We designed the Quadwheel® to use all the teeth equally.

The holders are made from grade 8 heat-treated steel.

All wheel kits include: - Wheel - 926-WS2 Teeth - Mounting blocks & tooth holders - LoPro® 3″ bolts - Allen socket - Mounting hardware specific to the make & model of the machine Rayco kits will also include a free upgraded chip containment guard. Both wheels are produced using 4140 steel.

The Quadwheel is designed to use the 926-WS2. This is a 900 series Wearsharp® tooth with a 2-sided shank designed specifically for wheels with a diameter less than 23″.

The shape of wheel was designed to reduce wheel wear. Depending on how old your original wheel is, you might find divots in the wheel in front of the teeth. This is caused by chips bouncing back off the wheel. These divots can cause vibration, which can shorten the life of the driveline parts. The Quadwheel® have been recessed to help eliminate this issue. The recessing also allows for the wheel to use the chip’s momentum to help throw chips under the machine, which increases the operator’s visibility and decreasing the drag on the wheel when making the below-grade cuts, subsequently increasing the life of the wheel.

With the upgrade kits, most all the teeth are on the same cutting plane. This allows each tooth to take the same amount of material while sweeping, ensuring smooth operation. It also utilizes 1/2 of the tooth, as opposed to 1/3 as it would with the traditional pattern. The increased efficiency created by the separation between the teeth allows for not only use of a larger tooth, but more of the tooth.
